This year was my first time voting in a presidential election. I researched everything on my ballot and spent hours debating internally as well as externally, trying to make the most informed decisions. When it came time to complete and sign the ballot, I was surprised by the verification process. I do not believe a simple signature is enough to ensure the validity of a democratic election.
